Geography
Fertile and rich, Draceleon has the highest agricultural yield among all the the countries in the continent. Its dark and moist soil can handle up to three types of crops in a year, and everything that grows in the soil is much more larger and sweeter than any type of crops grown elsewhere. Each town is separated by a vast distance of wilderness, isolated from each other besides from the occasional messenger that comes around with important news for these settlements.
In the northern region of Draceleon right before the ocean meets the coastline, large forests dominate the frontier, the gigantic trees in there reaching impossible heights which provides plentiful amounts of lumber to be processed. and many species of animals that thrive in the misty depths of the forests. Only a few major rivers snake their way in Draceleon, slow-moving giants that aimlessly wander in the extensive forests and stretching out to the plains, bringing fertile silt to the region.
To the south-west, massive flat plateaus are scattered throughout the plains, towns and cities often staking their homes on top of them and farming the area around the natural table. The farms around these areas are massive, stretching out for many acres and using elaborate systems of irrigation to water the crops. Many of the larger cities are situated on top of these landmarks, becoming easily defensible fortresses if danger ever came to the area. Since the monsoons often flood large regions of low ground, by being on top of these high plateaus, those cities are able to escape the worse of the torrential rain.
The climate is temperate and warm, never growing too cold even in the winter. Instead, it is extremely humid and the sun shines for the majority of the year, only being covered in the most darkest days of the seasons. Large thunderstorms are periodic throughout the region, bringing in massive amounts of rain which only adds to the lush vegetation thriving in the area.

Economy
Dracleon is a agrarian type economy, which means that it is solely dependent of the production of crops and foodstuff. Most of the food grown are on massive plantations stretching for hundreds of acres, with many different types of crops growing side to side, helping to put nutrients back into the ground and to prevent a dust bowl from being made. Since the soil is so rich, the growth of the plants is accelerated, helping the Draceleon to have have surpluses of food which they can then trade with most of the neighboring countries for their goods.
Most of these large plantations have numerous workers on them, only a few elites holding power over these massive pieces of land while the majority of the people live in absolute poverty, the only clothes they have on their backs threadbare and patched. These elites always compete against each other for the greatest amount of produce harvest in the year, squeezing even more out of the common people with every passing year. These peasants are forced to pay a annual tax of half of their harvest to the elites who then hand it over to the government, keeping a portion of it to themselves.
Since Draceleon does not have a manufacturing industry to speak of and therefore no banks or large companies to control the fluctuation of prices which are extremely reliant on the harvest that year, most trading within the country is played out using bartering and haggling. While trading with other countries, Draceleon diplomats often try to bribe the other officials with the massive amounts of produce which they have so much of that it is actually a priority to get rid of the food before the next harvest is brought in. With the agricultural goods that they sell, Draceleon brings in some metal and steel works for basic farming tools and certain materials needed for their scientific research.

Government
Draceleon's government is a absolute monarchy, the same ruling family having reigned in the country for as long as anyone can remember from the beginning of time. It often consists of a king and his queen, though there has been times when a solo queen has ruled Draceleon, often with even a more iron grip than the male rules do. Besides the main ruler, there has always been the prime minister, who is appointed along into office as the new ruler ascends the throne and remains in office for the rest of their life, being given almost equal rights as the rulers do.
The sovereigns can create any laws they like, as long as their prime minister agrees with it, and can be enforced the next day. The royal family is not so tyrannical to the people that they can grumble about it, but the rules set by these monarchs are harsh and mostly depend on sucking as much goods from the common people as possible.
Below the royal family and their extended relatives, are the nobles. These consists of the plantations owners who have also controlled their own little territories for centuries, the land being passed down from parent to child, regardless of the gender that the heir is. The monarchs are often bribed by the nobles with values and riches to bring more laws and taxes that are beneficial to them while caring little for the workers that suffer on their farms.

Society
Lax and generally quite boisterous, the people of Draceleon are very easy going and pleasant. They usually enjoy loud arguments before just simply laughing it off with their friends and family. Life is mostly centered around their families, with some having up to fifteen children and most of their extended families living all together under the same roof. Even though they may seem lazy at times, Draceleon citizens are hardworking in their never ending quest to produce more crops for the government. Their lives are governed only by the sun, rising with it and only returning back to their homes as the night befalls. Most of the citizens are illiterate and the only ones who can learn the art of language are high officials, nobles and diplomats. Instead, their children are taught music and rowdy games to keep them active and happy, often learning how to dance and sing at a very young age. Music plays an important role in daily life, being the epicenter of their joy and sorrow. In the fields, workers would sing songs to distract them from the hardship, and they would have many celebrations that would last for multiple days with singing, dancing and drinking included.
Women are treated as equally as men in the society, though most of the heavier labor can only be done by males. Therefore, most of the women work side to side with their husbands, supporting them and oftentimes helping them along. Women still do dominate in the kitchen however and take care of the house, for most of the men prefer to work outside with the animals and the land. Children are expected to also help their parents, and are taught the art of farming as soon as they can walk for the amount of food required to raise their children can be paid back by the labor their offspring provide them with.
The Grafts are an integral part of Draceleonian society. Families that have Grafts in them are almost always extremely proud, seeing as almost all Grafts are drafted into the Draceleonian military and thus are considered soldiers. However, there are some Draceleonic humans that see Grafts as dangerous abominations, leaving them in slightly the same mindset as Edrangeons. Despite that, Grafts are celebrated in the Draceleonic society and many festivals are held in honorfor them.
Evols are also a very important. Jednarogs, for example, are one of the Evols that has a major role in the everyday life of peasant Draceleonians, as they help churn soil on the plantations. Other Evols, such as the Cockatrice, are used as weapons in the military, trained by Evol specialists. And some, like the Jackalope, are bred as both pets and war animals. No matter the state of the country, the Evols have always been accepted and cherished in Draceleonian society.
The people speak with a slight twang in their words, often dragging them out a bit longer than necessary which reflects back on their attitude about life. They are very informal about talking to others, especially their families and relatives, who they often like to tease good heartedly. They do not care for what titles are affixed with who, sometimes even making their own nicknames and aliases for their friends and enemies.

Keramec
Originally established as a summer getaway for the royal family, Keramec is situated in a very strategic location, built upon a steep hilltop of stone. It overlooks the largest plantations in Draceleon and has massive rings of stone walls surrounding the city entirely, allowing Keramec to be defended easily if danger ever approaches the place.
In the last few decades, the rulers have permanently moved their institutions to this city, seeing how fair the weather is usually as it is almost always sunny and warm. The people living in Keramec are extremely wealthy, for many of the nobles have homes in Keramec and luxury reigns over the city. Large homes and beautiful tree-lined steps and roads wind around the city, kept extremely clean by the small population of servants and workers which pale in comparison to the number of elites there.
Evols and Grafts roam freely inside the city, enjoying anything they fancy for free since the government welcomes all Grafts with open arms. Many of the people living in Keramec have Evol pets, even having contests to see who has the most fashionably and outrageous looking Evol.
Behind all the show and pompous of the ridiculous shows, there are reasons why these are held. Experiments are always being tested inside the heart of the hilltop that Keramec is situated on, many of the Evols first being developed in there. Unwilling captives and voluntary parents with their unborn children are only allowed a peek inside the massive structure that lies underneath the grandeur of the city above as they are grafted with animals that the scientists deem most suitable for the person. The experiments and grafting themselves are top-secret, little information being leaked out to anyone else besides those in the government and the scientists themselves. The majority of the scientists also live in Keramec, though they are rarely seen by anyone else, as one who does know their identities are arrested and often executed to prevent any information from leaking to the Edrangic Military.
